Statement of Faith

The following is our Statement of Faith, which serves as a foundation for our beliefs and practices as a ministry. We hold to these truths with humility and openness to the leading of the Holy Spirit in all matters of faith and practice.

God

We believe in one God, the God of the biblical patriarchs – Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Eternal God and Creator of all things, revealing Himself through three different roles throughout the bible: As Father- our provider, as Son – the Father’s sacrifice for our sins and our model teacher and the Holy Spirit – the executor of the will of the Father and the Son and the helper for all believers who honor the Father and the Son. [Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-3, 4:24,26; Luke 3:22; Ephesians 4:5-6]

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God which guides us in all matters of life and doctrine. [2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 2:13]

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that He is the Messiah prophesied, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross and rose again to reconcile mankind to God and free them from the power of sin. He is returning again in glory and power. [Matthew 1:18-25, 24:30-31; Luke 1:26-38; Romans 9:5; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Titus 2:13]

The Fall of Man

We believe that God created mankind in His own perfect image and likeness, however as a result of sin by Adam, the first man, all of mankind incurred not only physical death, but spiritual death, which is separation from God. Man is powerless to save himself. [Genesis 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:6; Romans 5:12-21]

The Redemption of Man

We believe in the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the cross and that it is the only way to salvation. Because of the Father’s great love, He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, who lived a sinless life, died in our place for our sins and rose again on the third day, reconciling us to the Father and providing salvation as a free gift for all who place their faith in Him and repent. [John 3:3,16; Luke 24:47; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 1:16, 10:13-15; Titus 2:11, 3:5-7]

The Church

We believe that the Church, both local and universal, is the Body of Christ, of which He is the Head. Every believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the Church and the fulfillment of her Great Commission here on earth. [1 Corinthians 12:13,28, 14:12; Ephesians 4:11-16; Galatians 2:10, 6:10; James 1:27; Matthew 25:37-40, 28:19-20]

The Great Commission

We believe that the call of God on our lives is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, to love our neighbor as ourselves, to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. [Matthew 22:37-39, 28:19-20; Mark 12:30, 16:15-18]

Water Baptism

We believe that water baptism is a physical representation of a spiritual reality where the believer identifies with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe believers should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, as a public testament to their faith and a sign of their devotion and consecration to God. [Matthew 28:18-20; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Peter 3:21-22]

Holy Communion

We believe in the partaking of holy communion consisting of two elements, bread and the fruit of the vine (which symbolize the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ), as a way of remembering and declaring the New Covenant that God has made with His people and the imminent Return of Christ’s Return. [Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:14-20; 1 Corinthians 11:26]

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells and overshadows believers, empowering them for godly living and service and that He is the source of the gifts and manifestations of the Spirit. [John 1:33, 16:5-15; Acts 1:8; Titus 3:5; Romans 8:16, 23, 26-27; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31]

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe that all believers who earnestly seek the promise of the Father will receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, as the Spirit gives utterance. [Acts 1:8, 2:3-4, 19:6; Luke 24:49; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31]

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

We believe that all of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as speaking in tongues, the gift of faith, prophecy, healing, and miracles are active and available to believers today. We believe that these gifts are to be used for the building up of the Church and for the Glory of God. [Matthew 4:23, 12:28, 28:19-20; John 9:4, 10:37; Mark 16:17-20; Acts 2:17; 1 Corinthians 12:9-10]

Prayer and Fasting

We believe in the power of prayer and fasting to break the spiritual and natural forces that impede God’s will being done on earth as it is in heaven, including bringing about physical, emotional and spiritual healing. [John 14:13, 15:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Philippians 4:6; 1 Timothy 2:1-4; James 5:14-16; Matthew 6:16-18; Ezra 8:23]

Prophesy

We believe that God always desires to speak to His children and that He speaks to them through personal revelation and prophesy by His Holy Spirit, and that prophetic words should always align with and be tested against the written Word of God. [Acts 2:17-18; Romans 12:6; 1 Corinthians 14:5,29,31,39; 1 John 4:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21; 2 Peter1:21]

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the personal, imminent, glorious and powerful return of Jesus Christ for His Church.
[Isaiah 9:7; Matthew 24:30,36; Hebrews 9:28; Revelation 20:11-15; John 6:40, 14:3]

Eternity

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, both the saved and the lost. Those that are saved—unto the resurrection of eternal life with God in heaven and those that are lost—unto the resurrection of eternal separation from God in hell. [John 5:28-29, 6:40; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:15]
